The One Minute A-ha! – You Can’t Afford to NOT Know Your Purpose

You Can’t Afford to NOT  Know Your Purpose

As one who has traveled through life “purposeless” and as one who has known purpose, I will tell you that the latter is indescribable!  I notice that the happiest people I meet share a common trait.  They are aware of their purpose.  First of all, let’s say something about purpose.  In order for purpose to have the maximum effect, your purpose has to be YOUR purpose.  It’s not what other people say your purpose is.  It’s not what society defines as a noble purpose, but it’s that thing deep inside you that drives you and relights your fire for living.

Walking through this daily life without a purpose is like driving around a brand new city.  You are admiring the new sights but you have no clue where you’re going or what you’ll encounter.  That may be fun for a day, but it will get old. . .and get old quickly!  Having a purpose is beneficial in many ways.  It helps you avoid getting caught in a rut.  It decreases frustration because you’re able to see the big picture.  You get exposed to other people and things that align with your purpose, therefore allowing you to expand your horizon.  If you know your purpose, you are well on your way to living a fulfilling life.  If you don’t, discover what drives you; you can’t afford not to know.
