Wise word Wednesday: One day, the Wind and the Sun got into an argument.
\n\u201cI\u2019m much stronger than
\nyou,\u201d said the Sun.
\n\u201cOh, really?\u201d said the Wind. \u201cI can
\nbend tall trees. I can scream and howl
\nand make all sorts of racket. You just sit
\nthere, with that goofy smile of yours.
\nYou can\u2019t move anything. You don\u2019t
\nmake any noise.\u201d
\n\u201cWell then, let\u2019s have a contest,\u201d said
\nthe Sun. \u201cThat will decide who is truly
\nstronger.\u201d At that moment, a man wearing a coat was walking along a
\ncountry road.
\n\u201cOkay, here are the rules,\u201d continued the Sun. \u201cWhichever one of us can
\nget that coat off that man is the strongest.\u201d
\n\u201cFair enough,\u201d said the Wind.
\n\u201cYou go first,\u201d said the Sun. The Sun politely ducked behind a cloud and
\nthe Wind began to blow. She huffed and she puffed. The man simply pulled
\nhis coat closer around him. So the wind began to howl, causing dust to
\nswirl and twigs to fly. But the man pulled his coat around him tighter still!
\n\u201cMy turn,\u201d said the Sun. The Sun came out from behind the cloud. He
\nbeamed down on the man. He covered the man in light, bathed him in
\nwarmth. The man smiled up at the Sun, happy that the cold, harsh wind
\nhad died down. It was even getting rather hot walking along this country
\nroad. So the man took off his coat.
\nThe Sun turned to the Wind. \u201cWatch and learn, old friend,\u201d said the Sun.
\n\u201cWatch and learn.\u201d<\/p>\n
